Children & Youth are at the centre of everything we do at BGC Cochrane & Area. Our organization offers a wide range of programs including out of school care, kindergarten care, day homes, and youth programs tailored to meet the unique needs of young people in Cochrane. Our mission is to equip them with the necessary tools and support to succeed both academically and in life.
LIFE-CHANGING PROGRAMS & RELATIONSHIPS
Belonging to a Club is often a life-changing experience. Children can build healthy, supportive relationships with caring adult role models, which in turn can positively influence the life path they choose. Clubs also encourage healthy, respectful relationships with peers and family members.
Our Programs
Out of School Care
BGCCA Out of School Care (OSC) programs provide quality, affordable care in a safe and nurturing environment for children in kindergarten (see Kinder Care) to grade 6 attending all schools in the Cochrane area during out-of-school hours.
Day Homes
BGC Cochrane & Area Day Homes is the only LOCAL government licensed agency that promotes the provision of quality assured childcare within Cochrane and the surrounding area. We offer placement, financial, and monitoring support to parents, as well as training, resources, and billing support to Day Home providers.

In the spirit of our efforts to promote reconciliation, BGC Cochrane and area acknowledges the traditional territories and oral practices of the Blackfoot (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Tsuut’ina (Sarcee), the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
